NOTE ABOUT PHOTO: The day this image was photographed I went through 3 pair of ski gloves in the space of 4 hours! The entire village was coated in Rime Ice - a phenomenon where rain freezes rather than turning into snow and everything looks like it's been sprayed with glass. Even the mighty snowgums sounded like crystal chandeliers as they "tinkled" in the breeze.
